Mining

Boulder Opal is unique to South Western Queensland, it occurs in deposits in weathered sedimentary cretaceous levels.

The siliceous ironstone ranges from a thin band at Koroit, to large boulders ranging an various size at EROMANGA.

Our Mining Locations;

We Mine at Koroit (Fiery Comet) bright clean stones 1ct - 10ct. These are combined with matrix and centre nuts for beads and larger pendants.

At EROMANGA , open cut mining using an excavator, rock trucks and bull dozers. The mine is producing larger clean faced gem quality opal and specimens.
